Vara Luxmi Viratham Prayer

Vannakum Dear Devotee
Our Johannesburg Melrose Shree Siva Subramaniar Temple will be observing its annual Vara Luxmi Viratham Prayer on Friday, 16 August @ 18h00. Guru will also be performing the Kuthu Veluku prayer. Devotees are welcome to attend this prayer at our temple. Blessed Luxmi strings will be handed out to devotees present at the temple.
All those devotees wishing to participate in the Kuthu Veluku prayer are requested to register by clicking on the following link
https://forms.gle/GirfAZpsuDHPoGhG6
This will assist the temple in arranging it logistics around the number of devotees participating in this prayer and prepare for such. Devotees doing the Kuthu Veluku prayer must bring their own Kuthu Veluku for the prayer. Detailed prayer list will be emailed to all devotees that register online.
Guru will start the yegum/hawaan at 18h00, after which we will go around the temple once before entering the temple. Our Kuthu Veluku prayer will commence inside the temple. Once done, Guru will perform the neviedium (food) offerings to our residing deities and our Luxmi Amma, while bhajans dedicted to Luxmi Amma are rendered by the temple bhajan group. Guru will offer the deepams (lamps) to our Luxmi Amma. The prayer will conclude with Mangalam to our Amma. Guru will then hand out blessed Luxmi strings to devotees that are present at the temple.
Supper will be served.
Standard covid prevention protocols will be strictly observed while on temple grounds.
All donations to offset the cost of this prayer are welcome. Donations can be made into our temple bank account using reference “Luxmi pooja”
With the blessings of our divine Luxmi Amma.
